PHILADELPHIA \u2013 He\u2019s the \u201cold man of the group,\u201d despite being just 27, and Saquon Barkley is getting a kick out of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s definitely funny to me, and there\u2019s a beauty in it, too,\u201d said Barkley, one of the big free-agent signings in the Philadelphia Eagles\u2019 offseason, following Wednesday’s OTA practice.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see how fast your time goes in here. And when you\u2019re having fun with it, the time flies by.\u201d<\/p>\n

Being the new guy won\u2019t hinder Barkley from exerting one trait that has made him one of the league\u2019s best \u2013 when healthy. And that is his leadership ability.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s my seventh year going to the NFL, and there are already a bunch of leaders here, which is great, when you have that many leaders in the room.
