See it: Giants\u2019 Jalin Hyatt snags one-handed touchdown in OTA<\/p>\n

New York Giants sophomore receiver, Jalin Hyatt, made a spectacular one-handed touchdown catch during the team\u2019s organized team activities (OTAs) practice on Friday.<\/p>\n

It was very Odell Beckham Jr.-esque and immediately went viral on social media.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hyatt reminded Giants fans of a former Giants receiver wearing No. 13 with his eye-catching one-handed grab. Both Hyatt and Beckham Jr. were star college receivers in the SEC (with Hyatt finishing his last season in college with 1,769 yards and 15 touchdowns).<\/p>\n

New York is hoping that Hyatt can also be like Beckham Jr. when it comes to NFL success as the latter is the best receiver in recent memory for Big Blue.<\/p>\n

As a rookie, Hyatt had a modest season recording 23 catches for 373 yards. He will surely look to build upon this in Year 2.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Tennessee product will have a great opportunity to do so as Malik Nabers will be taking the attention away from a lot of defenses leaving Hyatt with the opportunity to take the top off defenses.<\/p>\n

John Ross has had a disappointing NFL career, but he’s glad that career isn’t over.<\/p>\n

Ross, the wide receiver selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, has just 957 receiving yards in his career. Last year he announced his retirement, but this year he came back, signed with the Eagles, and said he’s ready to prove he has something to contribute.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiterally the day I retired, I knew it was a mistake,” Ross said, via NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ross says that spending time with his son while out of the NFL inspired him to put more effort into getting back on the field.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you get to a point where you feel like you\u2019re at your lowest, you get to see everything for what it is,\u201d Ross said. \u201cAnd then you get to kind of look around and see your surroundings. I can tell you that my environment wasn\u2019t great. So you gotta kind of hone [in] and pay attention to what matters to you and what\u2019s real. I got to see my son every single day and I think that changed my life. It just let me know that I don\u2019t have anything to worry about. I\u2019m blessed and I have everything in front of me. I\u2019m young, I feel young, I haven\u2019t played that much football. I just got to a point where I was sitting there thinking, every single day, \u2018How do I change my mentality? How do I change my mindset?\u2019”<\/p>\n

Ross is a long shot to make the Eagles’ regular-season roster. But he does have talent, and he’s hoping that he’s found the place where he’ll finally be able to showcase that talent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
