Dak Prescott, Cowboys to Host Giants on Thanksgiving for 2024 Schedule

The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly host the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day during the 2024 NFL season.

Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reported the news, noting it’s the second time in three years the division rivals have squared off on Thanksgiving.

The Cowboys began hosting yearly Thanksgiving games in 1966. They are 33-22-1 in those contests and have won the last two seasons, including 2022 against the Giants. New York has played in 16 Thanksgiving games, posting a 7-6-3 record, though only five of those games have come since the AFL-NFL merger.

Dallas will enter the 2024 season as a co-favorite to win the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles at +130, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. This season is looking increasingly like the last chance for several notable Cowboys to make an impression in the postseason, with coach Mike McCarthy, quarterback Dak Prescott and wideout CeeDee Lamb all in the last year of their respective contracts.

The Giants are coming off a dreadful 6-11 campaign in 2023 and shape up as a non-playoff team again next season. They allowed running back Saquon Barkley to leave in free agency, and while they improved the receiving corps by adding Malik Nabers in the draft, it’s hard to have much faith in Daniel Jones getting the LSU product the ball in 2024.

The NFL will release its entire Thanksgiving schedule and the remainder of the 2024 slate Wednesday night
