Last year, Juventus sought to sign a Liverpool player for £180,000 a week; they are still interested in him.

Juventus tried to sign £180,000-a-week Liverpool player last year, now they want him again

Juventus tried to sign Roberto Firmino from Liverpool last summer and will now try again.

Firmino – who until 30 June is still a Liverpool player – has yet to decide his next move. But according to the Calciomercato he could very well go to Italy.

At the time, Reds manager Jürgen Klopp reportedly “increased” Bobby’s chances of moving to Turin. But it is said that they have not forgotten it. Coach Max Allegri would have approved Firmino as a new Juventus signing.

The competition for the 31-year-old will be “big” and “rich”. But despite this, there is reportedly an attempt to woo Bobby.

Without Klopp to deal with this time, they might just get their man.

Firmino has yet to decide his next move

Of the four players released by Liverpool at the end of the season, Firmino holds the most interest for Reds fans. It will be really interesting to see where the Brazilian chooses as his next club. Transfers have already been arranged for Naby Keita and James Milner. Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been heavily linked with joining Aston Villa.

But for Bobby, the future remains a bit of a mystery. As the Calciomercato mentioned, there will undoubtedly be countless tops for him.

He proved last season that he is even more than capable of playing at the highest level. Plus, without the egos of other such superstar names, it’s hard to imagine Firmino charging Liverpool too much than his alleged £180,000-a-week [Spotrac].

So it’s no surprise that players like Real Madrid are linked with a move. The number 9 shirt is free at the Santiago Bernabeu and it would be nice if Firmino takes it.

Juventus would be another good option for Bobby. But like the Reds, they won’t be playing the Champions League next season. Now that his career is winding down, perhaps it is something that interests Firmino.

But wherever it ends up, they should be glad they have it. I miss you already, Bobby!

Reports indicate that Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has “almost” completed his move to Juventus. The Brazilian forward has been playing at Anfield since 2015.

Roberto Firmino’s seven years at Liverpool show how far the club has come. Signed by Brendan Rodgers, the Brazilian has been a key figure in integrating the Jurgen Klopp style.

Although Bobby Firmino is not a new addition to the Liverpool manager, he was vital to him as he was the player he originally played with with his system.

The striker’s ability to retreat into midfield, connect and apply pressure has made him the best false 9 in the world.

However, over the years Firmino was gradually pushed out of the team. The signing of Diogo Jota was the beginning of the end for the magician. Jota’s production numbers could not be denied, while Firmino had always struggled to score as much as a centre-forward should.

Are we now starting to see the end of Roberto Firmino’s career at Liverpool? If the new reports are true, so are we. According to Pedro Almeida, the transfer from the Brazilian to Juventus is ‘almost complete’.

The Italian giants see Bobby as a replacement for Paulo Dybala, who has just secured his move to Serie A rivals Roma. After losing to Sadio Mane already in this window, will Mohamed Salah be the only one left from Jurgen Klopp’s top three?

What an incredible player Roberto Firmino was and if he goes he will leave a hole in the heart of Liverpool.
