LIVERPOOL APPOINTMENTS: RED BEGINS WITH SUNDAY’S SUPER TRIP TO CHELSEA

 

Liverpool kick off the 2023/24 Premier League season with Chelsea on Super Sunday; The reds conclude the campaign with a visit from the wolves; in between are matches against Man City in November at the Etihad and in March at Anfield

 

Liverpool kick off the 2023-24 Premier League season with an away match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in what will be Mauricio Pochettino’s first game in charge of the Blues in the opening weekend, as the first Merseyside derby of the season makes visit Everton at Anfield on 21 October. Jurgen Klopp’s side face champions Man City at the Etihad on 25 November, and in December Liverpool play back-to-back home games against Man Utd and Arsenal on 16 and 23 December.

The Reds also have tough games at home to Chelsea and away to Arsenal on 31 January and 3 February, and Man City head to Anfield on 9 March, before Liverpool travel through Stanley Park to take on Everton a week later.

Klopp’s side visit Old Trafford on 6 April as Reds entertain Wolves on final day of season

What are the key dates for the 2023/24 season?

The Premier League season starts on the weekend of 11-13 August and ends nine months later on 19 May 2024.

There will be a mid-season player break between the 14th and 20th January and to cater for the overcrowded Christmas and New Year schedule, no two rounds will be held within 48 hours of each other during this period.

Meanwhile, the Carabao Cup final will be played on Sunday 25 February, the Europa League final on 22 May in Dublin and the Champions League final at Wembley stadium on 1 June.
