Brand new bombshells could be revealed about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in an upcoming documentary – and the couple are reportedly worried about what will be unveiled.
It appears that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to be the subjects of a German documentary that promises to uncover “fresh secrets”. Journalist and royal expert Ulrike Grunewald will look closely at the couple, who stepped down as senior working royals, before moving to Montecito, California – and this will be the focus of a new show.
However, with rumours flying around about what fresh details the new programme will disclose, Royal commentator Jennie Bond has claimed that Meghan and Harry’s main fear is their lack of control.
She said: “I suspect neither Harry nor Meghan welcome documentaries about them over which they have no control. They have shown in recent years that they are determined to manage their own PR and news agenda.
“It will be interesting to see what this German documentary reveals about their life in California and Meghan‘s background..There is a lot we don’t know.
“I don’t necessarily think they have much to hide, but I think their main fear will be that they have no editorial control over this production,” Jennie continued.

This comes after it was reported that Ulrike – who has previously collaborated with Germany’s ZDF network on royal specials – travelled to California with a team of five people to investigate the area of Montecito and gather information from the neighbourhood where the couple resides with their two children, five year old Archie, and Lillibet, two.

In the latest column, Richard wrote: “Los Angeles-based producer Melanie Hillmann grilled me for two hours on my Riven Rock neighbours, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, under director Ulrike Grunewald. The interview is airing in due course as part of a prime-time documentary on ZDF Royal.”

Ulrike has produced several royal documentaries, including 2009’s The Windsors, as well as The Queen in 2015 and a TV show titled How German is the Queen?
In 2020, she worked on Man Fergie! – The Duchess and the Secret of the Windsors, and in 2021, she produced the documentaries Princess Diana’s Dangerous Legacy and The Queen and the Power of Images.
