New York Giants to be Featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks

The New York Giants will be featured on an offseason version of HBO’s hit show, Hard Knocks.

East Rutherford, NJ — October 22, 2023 — Giants quarterback, Daniel Jones and owner John Mara on / Chris Pedota / USA TODAY NETWORKThe New York Giants are set to have their offseason covered on the hit HBO show Hard Knocks one offseason after the New York Jets were on the show. This marks the first time the Giants have been on the show as many believed John Mara would never have it.

The show is not the typical summer version but, an offseason version that follows the team from January to July.

If you are a Giants fan, this offseason just got a whole lot more interesting with the announcement. The look into the team’s decisions this offseason will be fascinating.

Giants fans now get to see unprecedented access into the team’s offseason decisions and there were plenty.

We’ll get to see the team negotiating with Saquon Barkley before he left in free agency. The team’s decision to trade for Brian Burns will also be an interesting deal to watch go down.

One of the bigger storylines will be the team’s meetings with quarterbacks before the draft as the team was reportedly in love with Drake Maye. The team is also dealing with an ongoing holdout with Darius Slayton, which could be given more clarity from the show.

Massive Distraction or Moment of Clarity for the Giants?

The biggest question as the Giants are set to appear on Hard Knocks is whether this is a distraction or a moment for the front office and ownership to get their message out to fans.

Normally, coaches don’t like the media around, as it provides additional distractions, making it hard to believe that Brian Daboll wanted this experience. After the team lost Saquon Barkley this offseason, it feels like the Giants are taking a chance to spin the team narrative positively in the press.
