EAST RUTHERFORD – The New York Giants take tremendous pride in embracing tradition and celebrating the history of their franchise.

They have been preparing for this season for a while – 100 years in the making, as a matter of fact.

The Giants have kicked things off by launched their 100th season celebration Monday morning with the unveiling of their ‘100 seasons’ logo in addition to announcing a special event at the Theater at Madison Square Garden next month honoring some of the biggest and most influential figures in the history of the organization.

According to the team, the commemorative logo was “created to showcase the franchise’s rich history” with the background shield inspired by the shape of the Polo Grounds, the team’s first home in 1925 – and with the zeros designed in the outline of Giants Stadium. At the base is a re-creation of the team’s classic skyline logo, representing every player who has worn the Giants uniform. The player is overlaid on a football, which is named “The Duke” in honor of Wellington Mara and features eight laces to symbolize the team’s eight NFL championships.

The logo will be worn as a patch on Giants uniforms this season.

The New York Giants will celebrate the 100th anniversary season since the 1925 inception of the franchise. This commemorative logo, created to showcase the Giants' history and tradition, will adorn the players' uniforms this year.

“The entire Mara family is proud to commemorate the 100th season of New York Giants football,” Giants president and co-owner John Mara said. “As we reflect on this landmark season, I think about my family, and most specifically my father, grandfather and uncle who dedicated their entire lives to the Giants and the NFL. We would not be who we are without their vision and leadership. When we became partners with the Tisch family in 1991, our franchise grew even stronger. Together, the Mara and Tisch families are proud to celebrate the history of our franchise as we look to the future of Giants football.”

‘Giants 100: A Night with Legends’

On June 20, the team will host Giants 100: A Night with Legends at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. The night will feature panel discussions covering team history, a preview of the 2024 season with current players and staff, artifacts from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and 100th season merchandise.

Over 20 legends are expected to participate, including Eli Manning, Harry Carson, Tiki Barber, George Martin, Jason Sehorn, Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin. Giants season ticket members will have an exclusive 48-hour window to purchase tickets starting Tuesday, May 14 at 10 a.m. before a limited supply will be made available to the general public on Thursday, May 16 on Ticketmaster. Net ticket proceeds from the event will benefit The Giants Foundation.

NY Giants connecting with the community

The Giants Foundation will pledge $1 million in donations this season through 10 $100,000 grants that will be awarded to long-time charitable partners. Additionally, the Giants have committed to making “a minimum of 100 in-person community visits” in 2024.

NY Giants to visit Polo Grounds, their first home

On Aug. 1, to honor the franchise’s official date of founding on Aug. 1, 1925, the Giants will visit the historic site where their first home, the Polo Grounds, once stood and host a community event for the residents of the Polo Grounds Towers in Washington Heights, N.Y.
