Gonçalo Ramos bid & Harry Kane’s decision to switch the chairman and claims Man Utd will shell out $87 million for the Liverpool rematch.

Liverpool rivals round-up: Harry Kane has approved a blockbuster transfer, while Manchester United could take a cue from Jürgen Klopp’s playbook.

Liverpool are very rarely involved when it comes to the biggest transfer sagas of the window. There have been one or two notable exceptions, but FSG’s tenure has generally been characterized by efficient and “reasonable” business conduct.

That’s why it was so surprising – and yes, exciting – when Liverpool were named in connection with Jude Bellingham over an extended period of time. This would have been a great transfer but ultimately proved too long, with the Reds ultimately folding well before the summer. At this point, the logic was examined to the last centimeter of his life. Liverpool felt they would not be able to adequately handle the required rebuilding task spending so much on Bellingham and were unsure of going to Anfield anyway, so opted to use the cash. to do so to register three good players instead of just one generational. Talent.

And so passes another transfer window, in which Liverpool are only an observer of successful actions. Among the biggest potential moves is Harry Kane, who is attracting a lot of interest at Bayern Munich.

Although Manchester United have also been credited with interest, it seems highly unlikely that Spurs will ever approve such a move. As a result, Erik ten Hag’s side are said to be eyeing more of a Liverpool replay, with a club chairman saying the Red Devils are preparing a sizable offer. Harry Kane “accepts” Bayern Munich transfer

Harry Kane has given the green light to Bayern Munich through his pitch, although an agreement with Spurs on the fee has yet to be reached. The German outlet Sport Bild reports it.

Although Bayern are not yet allowed to negotiate directly with Kane and nothing has been signed yet, the club have spoken to his father Pat and brother Charlie. An agreement was reached, with the attacker agreeing to the pass. An initial offer of $77m (£60m/€70m) plus add-ons was rejected by Spurs. Bayern Munich are thought to return with an improved offer (via BBC

Bayern Munich had made an offer, it seemed clear there had been some encouragement from Kane. While he cannot formally negotiate with the Bavarians, the reality of the transfer market is clear and an offer usually means a club is sure they have the player on their side.

Whether Bayern Munich can get Spurs moving is another matter. The one big plus is that Daniel Levy would definitely prefer to sell him out of the Premier League, away from the clutches of rivals. If he wants to make some money instead of risking losing Kane to a free-kick, this seems like an ideal opportunity.

It would work well for Liverpool too. Obviously, FSG would never tackle Kane, but they wouldn’t want him leading Manchester City, Chelsea or Manchester United either.

Liverpool repeat could be in sight for Manchester United

Led by Jurgen Klopp and Pep Lijnders in particular, there has been a preference for the Portuguese market over Liverpool lately. Indeed, the assistant coach knows this very well, having previously worked at Porto, and there seems to be a belief in the club’s hierarchy that there is added value in Europe’s ‘sixth tier’.

Located just outside the traditional Big Five, it still offers a high standard and regular opportunities for players from top clubs to compete in the Champions League. Liverpool have been confident enough in recent years to approve big deals for Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez.

Now it looks like Manchester United will follow. They have also shopped there before, buying the likes of Bruno Fernandes and this summer they look set to travel to Benfica and sign the man who was effectively Núñez’s replacement.

That’s according to Correio da Manha (print edition via Man Utd News), who report that chairman Rui Costa has claimed Manchester United are ready to pay nearly $87m (£69m/€80m). ) for Gonçalo Ramos.

Ramos was just starting to make a name for himself when Liverpool signed Núñez and some felt he should be considered instead. In fact, his price as a top man at Benfica has also skyrocketed. It would truly be a repeat of Liverpool for Manchester United, with Ramos offering much the same risk and opportunity as Núñez. The latter was more productive in his last season in Portugal but it looks like his successor will cost a little less.

Obviously, the big clubs remain convinced that the Portuguese league is a good test bed, even if Núñez had a relatively difficult first season. There is still plenty of optimism about his pursuit and he will no doubt be eager to do so – especially against his former teammate.
