The transfer window is in full swing and deals are being finalized across the Premier League. Liverpool have already made two acquisitions with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Kylian Mbappe is embroiled in yet another transfer saga between his club Paris Saint-Germain and his longtime admirers Real Madrid. Uncertainty over the Frenchman’s next move has also led to Liverpool being mentioned in the talks via previous links. Victor Osimhen is another highly rated striker who is considering a move to Merseyside. He led Napoli to their first Scudetto in decades last season and has been tested with Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester United.

Liverpool are also in talks to sign OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram. Speculation continues to surround the Frenchman but as of this writing there is no official offer from the Reds.

Kylian Mbappe comments on transfer links to Real Madrid and Liverpool

Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe says he is never satisfied as speculation hangs over his future at the Liverpool links.

While the transfer window is well underway, talks over the French striker’s next move remain hotly contested. Real Madrid are long-time suitors for the 24-year-old and are seen as prime candidates to sign the Paris striker as he enters the final year of his contract. Earlier this summer he made it clear he would not extend his contract with PSG beyond 2024, leaving the Ligue 1 champions with the problem of losing their prized asset on a free transfer next season.

Liverpool were already interested in the striker before his move to Paris. Recent reports have suggested the Reds could break the bank to sign him and will spend over £200million to sign him. However, Ian Graham previously denied this assumption when he revealed that Mbappe is out of his league financially.

Lavia a possibility – but at what cost?

Romeo Lavia could be an option for Liverpool whether or not they sell a midfielder.

It all depends on the price.

He wrote: “The Belgian international is certainly, as previously reported, a player the club admire, and given his age and the role he fills, a number 6 rather than a number 8, it’s easy to see why a move should be contested.” .

“However, the question is at what price? There are reports that Southampton will be asking for a £50m fee for Lavia, and while that is definitely their prerogative, it’s also a price that, at least at the moment, Liverpool ( and others) the sentiment is excessive.”
